Prof. Dr. N. Reha Tandogan is an orthopedic surgeon specialized in advanced joint surgery.
His main areas of focus are open and arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, hip and ankle joints. He is an internationally acclaimed surgeon in sports injuries, joint preservation surgery and robotic joint replacement. He has a special interest in knee injuries in children and adolescents.

Prof. Tandogan has been continuing his work at Cankaya Orthopedics since 2007 and his clinic, of which he is the founding partner.

He is the immediate past president (2022-2024) of the European Knee Associates, a section of the European Society of Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology & Arthroscopy that focuses on the treatment of degenerative knee disorders. Prof. Tandogan is an ESSKA Teacher and is one of the originators of the ESSKA Mentorship / Partnership Program. He regularly hosts visiting surgeons from Türkiye and abroad for short periods to share his expertise.
He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopedics & Traumatology (EFORT) and has served as the National Delegate of Türkiye.

He has had fellowship training in sports medicine, knee surgery and arthroscopy in Insititut Calot, France and Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas Texas.

Dr. Tandogan is one of the founding members and has served two terms as the president of the Turkish Society of Preventive Hip Surgery.

He has served in various capacities in Baskent University between 1995-2007, including chairman of the Department of Orthopedics & Traumatology, founding chairman of the Department of Sports Sciences and member of the University Senate.
He is a graduate of Hacettepe University Medical School and has undergone residency training in the Department of Orthopedics & Traumatology of the same university.

He has been an active member of the International Society of Arthroscopy Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) for 30 years and has been awarded the Linvatec Award.

Prof. Tandogan, is the founding board member of Society for Joint Diseases, which focuses on the treatment of joint injuries, joint preservation surgery and prosthetic joint replacement. The society organizes annual Orthopedic Surgery Marathon Meetings in Antalya, Mentorship Programs for surgeon-to-surgeon training and Orthopedic Arena live broadcasts on hot topics in joint surgery.
Prof. Tandogan is the author of 11 books (1 in English) on sports injuries, arthroscopic and open joint surgery. His scientific publications include 88 international and 76 national papers published in peer reviewed journals. Over 3335 citations have been made to these publications (h-index 31).
